January 12, 2015 -- Gages appointment today went well. He got IV chemo and fluids. He also got a spinal tap with chemo. He did the best he ever has with his spinal tap. He was able to relax and stay relaxed during the procedure. He was amazed how well it went when he relaxed. We stopped and ate lunch at Twin Peaks. Our waitress also has cancer so we were able to visit with her and share stories. We also got to meet Evie. She was diagnosed a couple of months ago and we tried to meet her several times when Gage was at the hospital for radiation and treatment, but she was always napping. We were able to meet her mom one day when we were there. She was getting treatment today too. She is a sweetheart with a big beautiful smile. Gage got the thumbs up to start wrestling and baseball if his counts are good. He was pretty excited about that and cant hardly wait to start. We got home and had to head back to town for a baseball parent meeting. Gage got to run around and play with his teammates. It was good for him and good for us to see him so active especially after a spinal tap today. He came home accessed for chemo a couple more times this week. He got nausea meds tonight and had no problems. The plan is to send him to school tomorrow armed with a mask and hand sanitizer. Hopefully he can keep from getting any of the crud going around.
