January 12th. Its funny now when it is in the 30s it actually feels warm and mild after last weeks weather in the teens with even lower wind chills. At least I think it was in the 30s when I got on the beach today. Whatever it was it was mild. The rain though is still a bit uncomfortable when you get down to a bathing suit. But not all that bad. The break in the temperatures afforded me the opportunity to go into the water waste deep and snap a picture. Something a little different.I dont think I had ever done that to this point. Hope you enjoyed the two pictures from the new angle. You can actually see the rain hitting the water if you look close. The water again was very calm. The temps for a second day at a four month low of 42.As expected there was not a single person on the beach or boardwalk. Actually not seeing a single person is somewhat rare. The rain and cold is a bad combo. Keeps everyone away. There were not even any people mulling about in cars in the parking lots. They too were empty. A gray, gloomy, seaside ghost town. Even with mild weather ahead for a week, winter is really beginning to take over the Jersey Shore..
