January 2015 Epic Vacation Day 3: What goes on in Branson, MO in January on a friggin frosty day??? Absolutely nothing! A fair part of the town is closed down, even some major brand hotels and restaurants have signs in the windows saying will reopen in February or see you in March. So Shan and I are pretty good at making our own fun. After stopping at several thrift/resale stores, we had a wonderful Mexican lunch at one of the only restaurants open downtown. After that we took a ride up to Table Rock State Park for a few photos, then decided to photograph whatever we thought was photo worthy. Ill admit, I pretty curious on how the Rowdy Beaver Restaurant got its name and just so you know...the Wild Woody refers to a wooden roller coaster, just in case you were confused on that.
