January 21, 2015 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN - FIRESIDE CHAT #17 It has been suggested that a president might govern with his pen and his telephone. However, under the American system of government, the three branches enjoy coequal powers, designed to prevent usurpation of power by any one branch or person, so that tyranny might be avoided. Tyranny, however, is that into which the government of the United States is making incursions. Any president who does what Barack Obama has done so far should be correctly understood to be a tyrant, a dictator, and a traitor. If I were just slightly less kind, I might say that a president who intends to govern by his pen and telephone should have his tongue and thumbs removed, to prevent the use of the telephone or the pen. This is America, not the Soviet Union. Numerous acts of treachery have been committed by Obama and other key figures in his regime. If elected, I would assign a team of special prosecutors to investigate all allegations of abuse of power in his administration, who would be expected to file appropriate charges. In addition, the outlandish abuse of power of Harry Reid also falls within the definition of treachery, and his suppression of more than 350 bills that were passed on the floor of the House of Representatives, so that they could not even be considered in the Senate, constitutes obstruction of Congress. He should also be prosecuted and punished for his crimes in this regard. I would also establish an office to receive and investigate allegations of high crimes committed by elected officials, appointees, or employees of federal government, the results of which would be forwarded to the Department of Justice for prosecution in cases where treachery is discovered to have been committed.
