January 22, 2015 THE LORD RESTORED MY SOUL Today’s journal: Psalm 23:1-3 “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.” Message: Today’s journal speaks about our soul. Soul refers to the immaterial part of you that will survive beyond this life. The central thing that is most you about you is your soul. When we’ve reached that point that we can’t go on and when we’re in a struggle and things are tough, his power upholds us and we run to victory. When we’re winning victories in his name, we can soar on wings like eagles. He is a shepherd and more. He is the Rock and Sustainer of our lives! Promise: When God restored our souls….He provides all the nourishment we need, and we need it continually. Warning: We’re not smart enough or willing enough to do many things for our own good. But our Shepherd can. Command: Today, make it a point that whatever situation you and me may be…all we can do is to seek or even cry out to God in prayer to restore us. He can satisfy your deepest longings every time you turn to Him Application: God wants to make you lie down in green pastures and lead you beside still waters. He wants to restore your soul. Are you making it your daily habit to let Him?
