January 4th, 2015 - Uploaded by a YTer name HamptonRoadsTVFan - Here is a look back at a 1988 Entertainment This Week piece by Leonard Martin about the Chicago Essanay studio, as it was in late 1980s. The video is old, but a time capsule of it being used over 25 years ago. (Note: In recent years, a fundraiser was in place to fully restore the studio, but lack of funding and budget cuts stalled those plans. The current building is owned by St. Augustine College. Chaplin only worked at this studio for about two weeks, but he has become one of its most remembered stars who worked there.
