January 8, 2015 Notice All IAMAW Local Lodge 2323 Members Nomination & Election of a Maintenance/Purchasing and Facilities Executive Board Member (1) Term of Office is April 08, 2015 to December 31, 2017 Nominations will be accepted at the February 03, 2015 (Membership Meeting) with Election on April 07, 2015. Eligibility Members in attendance will be able to accept nomination. Nominees not in attendance must submit a written acceptance to the Recording Secretary of the Local Lodge prior to the Membership meeting, either in person, by fax or Canada Post, no emails will be accepted. To be eligible you must be a member of Maintenance/Purchasing and Facilities Branch. A candidate must have been a member of an affiliated Lodge for at least six (6) months prior to nominations. They must have attended 50% of the regular Monthly Membership meetings held by the Lodge that their Union activities, shift assignments, vacations and verified illnesses would allow during the previous twelve month period ending the date of close of nominations. Absentee Ballots as per Local Lodge Bylaws (Article IV) Members who reside in outlying districts more than 25 miles/40km (driving distance) from the designated balloting place, members who are either confined because of verified illness or vacation or on official lAM business, approved by the Local Lodge, District Lodge or Grand Lodge, or on an employer travel assignment, as the case maybe, may request an absentee ballot form. Any member entitled to receive an absentee ballot shall make a written request therefore to the Recording Secretary of the Local Lodge by delivering in person or mailing such a request not later than 30 days before the election. Check Google Maps (maps.google.ca) and advise the Recording Secretary that you now qualify under the bylaw.
