January 8, 2015. Todays Challenge Genesis 25:1 - 6, 12 - 18 I Chronicles 1:34 Genesis 25:19 - 26 Genesis 25:7 - 11 Remember: 1. Read the suggested passages every day. 2. Find a verse or verse that hold special meaning for you in that day. 3. Praise God and pray for others in light to the Scripture you covered. 4. Reflect on the passages meaning and possibly journal a few ideas that God might be sharing with you. Todays Reflection: When confronted with everyday life we often forget God. We go about our busy lives and perhaps think a little on Him, but not really. It seems enough to just get by without pursuing trouble the likes of which mean getting to know God and going through the difficult things He places in our lives to help us grow and become even more committed. We walk around daily in this Ill get to you eventually, God attitude until God moves and shakes things up. Today, our reading tells us of Abrahams Descendants and life becomes ordinary, until we here of the births of Esau and Jacob and all the problems that caused poor Rebekah pain during their gestation. When push comes to shove, she finally goes to God and asks why this pregnancy is causing so many problems. Interestingly enough, God is ready with an answer. Hes been waiting for this moment. He has brought it about and has waited for Rebekah to finally ask. God is so like that. He sets up our lives so that we have to come to terms with Him and when He does that, He is willing and waiting for us to ask. We are broken and needing to be fixed and He wants to fix us. But He doesnt just sit around waiting for us to figure it out, He sets up circumstances so that we must come face to face with Him to get our answer. So today, let us face our circumstances honestly and talk with God earnestly about it all. Let us place ourselves humbly in His hands and finally ask the questions we have been dying to ask. Amen and Amen!! Reflect with this Lifehouse song - called: Broken by Lifehouse The broken clock is a comfort, it helps me sleep tonight Maybe it can stop tomorrow from stealing all my time I am here still waiting though I still have my doubts I am damaged at best, like youve already figured out Im falling apart, Im barely breathing With a broken heart thats still beating In the pain, there is healing In your name I find meaning So Im holdin on, Im holdin on, Im holdin on Im barely holdin on to you The broken locks were a warning you got inside my head I tried my best to be guarded, Im an open book instead I still see your reflection inside of my eyes That are looking for purpose, theyre still looking for life Im falling apart, Im barely breathing with a broken heart thats still beating In the pain (in the pain), is there healing In your name (in your name) I find meaning So Im holdin on (Im still holdin), Im holdin on (Im still holdin), Im holdin on (Im still holdin) Im barely holdin on to you Im hangin on another day Just to see what you throw my way And Im hanging on to the words you say You said that I will be OK The broken lights on the freeway left me here alone I may have lost my way now, havent forgotten my way home Im falling apart, Im barely breathing with a broken heart thats still beating In the pain(In the pain) there is healing In your name I find meaning So Im holdin on (Im still holdin), Im holdin on (Im still holdin), Im holdin on (Im still holdin), Im barely holdin on to you Im holdin on (Im still holdin), Im holdin on (Im still holdin), Im holdin on (Im still holdin), Im barely holdin on to you https://youtube/watch?v=I6cdPeYJh0s
