January #ACROVINYASA Challenge DAY 2: Star BASE: Take a hand to hand grip with flyer (hand shake grip with the first two fingers extended on partners wrist). Bend knees ready to receive flyers shoulders on feet. Once flyer jumps to tuck, extend legs to 90 and bring your heels together. Flyer & base both extend arms in a diamond shape maintaining firm grip. FLYER: Stand at bases head. Take a hand to hand grip with your base and keep elbows bent. Bend forward placing shoulders on bases feet ready to jump. Jump into tuck whilst pressing firmly into bases hands. Open your legs into Open/Piked Straddle, Energize your legs and point the feet and toes (in yoga we flex toes and in acro we point). Press your head into bases shins for extra support. Flyer & base both extend arms in a diamond shape maintaining firm grip. On dismount bring legs into Tuck, whilst base bends knees for you to descend. Firm resistance in hands is essential for dismount. SPOTTER: Spotter stands behind flyer with hands around hips in Warrior stands facing towards flyers back body. Check for alignment, be the voice of communication and bring flyer and base back into balance when necessary.
