January #ACROVINYASA Challenge DAY 22: #ReverseNamaskar - Spotting BASE: From Super Yogi, reposition your hands to flyer’s elbows, ask flyer to bend their arms and legs at the same time. Be sure to extend your arms and maintain a strong line with the legs. Depending on the flexibility of your flyer, you can press the elbows all the way together to offer a deep stretch for the triceps. Create more side-body stretch by laterally flexing your hips and side-bending flyers upper body. FLYER: As base repositions their hands to your elbows from Super Yogi, slowly bend your arms and take reverse prayer behind your back. Simultaneously bend your legs into a diamond shape (Baddhakonasana). Make sure you can see your own feet through your base’s legs to maintain a solid shelf. As base presses the elbows closer together, communicate how much stretch you want in the shoulders. Always ask for what you need. SPOTTER: Stand in a narrow warrior stance alongside the base and flyer with your hands on either side of the hips. Stay relaxed but alert. Check for alignment, be the voice of communication and bring flyer and base back into balance when necessary.
