January #ACROVINYASA Challenge DAY 8: S2F Camel - Spotting BASE: From Front Plank, keep arms straight and strong. As flyer bends one knee in towards their chest, place your foot on their shin with the heel on the inside of the shin bone. Position the first two toes on either side of the knee cap. Repeat with the other leg. Keep stable by engaging inner thighs and core. As flyer lifts up, simultaneously extend your legs to straight. FLYER: From Front Plank, press strongly into bases hands and curl your knee in towards your chest. Round the upper back and draw the ribs in. This is the same action as a Tiger Curl. Place your shin on bases foot. Repeat with the other leg. As you press the shins downwards into bases feet, start to press hips forwards into kneeling. Reach back for the ankles, one hand at a time. Be sure to press the hips forward, point the toes and stay engaged through the legs. Stretch the chest towards the sky and if it feels stable, tilt your head back. SPOTTER: While flyer is in Front Plank, spot in a relaxed but alert squat stance with hands underneath flyers legs and torso. As they transition, stand alongside flyer with one hands around the hips. Keep one hand on either side of the hips as flyer transitions into the pose.
