Japan-Australia Youth Soccer Camp Rinichi Mikami - Director of Go Zamurai Soccer Academy recently took 3 young Australian footballers (Richard, Byron, Matt from Olympic FC U-16) to Tokyo, Japan for 10 days. The boys trained at Mitsubishi Yowa SC who play in the J-League Premier Youth League as the highest football competition for U-18 in Japan. They trained with Mitsubishi players as if they were part of the local squad. On match day they were invited to join the team meeting with the players and coaching staff. They were very looked after by Mitsubishi Yowa SC like one of their own. Academy Director Rinichi said, I definitely think the experience had an immediate and positive impact on the boys. And I was very happy to see they developed an excellent relationship with the Japanese players and coaches right from the start. In my opinion the most important things they could get in Japan, are not only football methods but to experience a different country, culture and life style . We may have different colour skin but we are thinking/doing/dreaming almost the same things as each other. My boys Richard, Byron and Matt already knew it. This is what I found a precious discovery and effect from Japan-Australia Youth Soccer Camp. I hope this is first step to build a good relationship about education of football between Australia and Japan. The 3 boys met people who are very serious about football and they are same generation to them. Lets keep dreaming, Australian footballers who were educated in Queensland football become top professionals in Asian countries. They returned to their club and are dreaming with hard work to go the way of a professional footballer...
