Japan has the worlds tenth-largest population, with over 126 million people. If you count the quota for the hunts, against the population of Japan and China (I appreciate hunts happen in other parts of the country also), statistically it proves already it is a very small pocket of people who indulge in eating dolphin meat, it is an uncommon practice. Unfortunately only a minority of people in Japan and China know about the Dolphin and Whale hunts in the first instance and the hunts are more than likely a huge by-product of the live dolphin trade. Could a few of our groups and followers try, rather than formulate lists of embassies and consulates over the world to contact, try another approach of making a list of actual Japanese & Chinese Animal Rights groups, activists, journalists, we can spread information to they may not even be aware of? They are a nation of animal lovers, but yet know little of utter brutality happening in the hidden cove ! These individuals on the front-line of animal protection & journalism could turn some of our knowledge into energy so they too are empowered into educating their fellow Japanese and Chinese people about Cetacean Hunts across their countries? Its actually quite hard to find out the information ! So who can read / speak fluent Chinese and Japanese languages and also translate to English !?
