Japanizam 2014 SUNDAY recap and final thoughts... GEEEET REAADYY TOOO RUMBLEE!!!!! xD Sunday... the final day of Japanizam and the day of the Cosplay Contest!!!!!! We woke up with high expectations and i had still aces in my sleeves still not used... When we arrived at the venue, everything was silent and calm ( before the storm ) xD I really needed to relax a little before the day as i already knew one or two things ( like i will have to face inquisition at some point of the day ) so just prepared my trusty camera and... started the day. We started training, first ace out from the sleeve: i will not go up to stage. They have to go fine without me, so..lets see how it goes! While they are prepared themselves had some time to go around and talk a little with people, watch the Ninjutsu panel and mingle around. Then came 14.00 when the stage shows started. Have to say the first few acts was quite fun! Hristina looked so outworldly evil, by the Chaos Gods that the first row froze in terror and awe... ( even the blind ones xD ) Then the guys came and somewhat i am a perfectionist and always try to improve i was okay with the things ive seen ( no, im not a meanie..im EVIL with capitals xD ) After the rightful punishment ( xD ) the day went on and i had to take the mantle of one of my heroes Ezio Auditore not because i felt cold or anything..really. Still i was surprised how you people liked the outfit. Though it is not nearly finished not really having the exact body type... so, on with the day, Just met with Isidora as she caused a few heart failures and such little annoyances as Morrigan from Dragon Age. Soon we sneaked into the backstage to get a sneak peek with my wonderful partners in crime: Ada Acid ( CRO ), Sylvia and Todor (BUL), the jurys last mystery member was still away so we looked around. There was already lots of promising things, i already felt the winds of despair and agony as i tried to figure out how the hell will i judge those really good costumes... AND I DID NOT TOOK MY JUDGE DREDD COSTUME!!!! :D As the gates opened the people came in and the air was filled with excitement, hopes and guesses about the contestants. The lights went and isidora and jelena came on stage and nearly stole the show, but after their showstarters the Junior branch started their performances... and the troubles started. There was so many nice and well developed cosplays... it was so hard, but Princess Tutu came out winning the junior branch with her excellent dancing and outfit. Then there came the Age of Dragons, i mean the witches of Ages of Dragons.. so, Isidora and Jelena and the Senior competition started for no less than the participation for EuroCosplay competition! I could write books about what happened, id rather say i really liked what i saw. Serbian cosplayers are really set the standards high for the middle/east Europe cosplayers! At the end when the judges prepare to rip each others throats out... xD no, we agreed quite easily, so aside from the blabbering, there was only one thing to do: announce the winners! The juniors was announced by Sylvia one by one. Then the Honorable mentions came, presented by Todor...and following them, i got the honor to announce the winners of the Japanizam 2014 Senior Cosplay Competition. For third place, we agreed upon the fabulous and accessory-wise spectaculat Diablo III Wizard to come and get her prizes and respect. For the second place after a heavy debate came the dunmer in Nightingale Armor. And for the first place i had the honors to announce the spectacular and 101% convincing Mona Popovic as Jinx! She will be the ambassador of serbian cosplayers at the MCM Expo/London in the EuroCosplay Competition. Have to say a few things tho: i found lots of the cosplayers work exceptionally good! Like the Butchers armor was really convincing as well as Thralls overall look. Not to mention DRAMAtical Murder :) At the end i was really sorry because everything ended... :S All of you guys was and are AWESOME! The cosplayers the people.. everyone, but now let me thank you all the kindness and help in name of Cosfighters and me. I still have to mention Isidora who gave us the chance to meet with you guys. She made exceptional work with the convention as an organizer and as a host as well. We literally was saved by her when we arrived :) Same goes for Jelena, too, but one bad mark because she did not wore her WH40K armor :) All the staff was super-extra-awesome! They helped us when we was lost, so thank you all... and i will prepare more salami/sausage for you guys, Filip and Tesla!! Thanks for the professional help, too Nick! You all rock! And thanks goes to Lord of the Rings Cosplay Club to accompany us to Serbia! I hope youll like to meet us next time - with another shows and another weirdness around :) ARIGATO, MINNA!!!! :)
