Jarod is a soccer defender. Most would say he does a pretty decent job at it. Occasionally, he gets a chance to play offense. It usually doesnt amount to anything, he just doesnt have enough reps. Last weekend was the exception. The 3rd game of the Dillsburg PA tournament was tied, and there were less than 2 minutes to play. This play came together so quickly I only caught part of it from the sidelines. (Other factors may have played into that.....) Thank goodness our team photographer was on the ball. (quite literally) I present the Anatomy of a soccer goal. Jarod is number 3, kicking the ball and scoring the winning goal. The boy jumping on his back is his friend Jackson Scobie. Later on, in game 4, Jackson would defend a 45 minute shootout with a considerably better team, to determine and win a tied game. The celebratory hug would be returned, and the hardly ever win Flash Fury would win a tournament bracket.
