Jarret Simmons scored 13 points to lead the Bethel Christian Junior Varsity to a 30-25 victory over CalvaryJV on Tuesday. On a two-pointer from Simmons, Bethel Christian Warriors sealed their victory in the fourth quarter. Though Bethel Christian and Calvary were tied up at 11-11 at the half, Bethel gained momentum during the final two quarters. Bethel Christian scored an impressive 15 points in the final quarter, thanks largely to a 12-3 run. Making 46% (6-for-13) of shots from the field, Simmons had a solid performance on the court for Bethel Christian Warriors JV. He also added 9 rebounds, 6 steals and 1 block. Tim Huffman sank two three-pointers and scored 8 points total and added a steal. Evan Kennedy was a monster on the blocks with 24 rebounds! He added 4 points, 2 blocks and 2 steals. Other player contributions included Alex Rodriguez (3 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals), Isaiah Grimes (4 rebounds, 1 steal), Caleb Oakes (3 rebounds) Ethan Heitzenreiter (1 rebound), Jayden Heitzenreiter (1 rebound).
