Jaswinder Singh Ghazal Maestro, is common friend to many in my list and our friendship goes back to Ryze days.Yesterday Jas posted faizs nazm in his voice. I heard it for the first time and realized I have not estimated Jas to his due caliber. He is such a fine ghazal singer, simply a treat to my ears and soul. Mere Dil Mere Musafir is politically poignant nazm difficult to compose and sing. I have heard this nazm in many voices, including Tina saini and laal, they all had a certain aggression in its rendering but Jas came up with absolutely different form, very soft, full of pathos and simply transferred the nazm to different more pleasant height. With no restraint I can say, Jas has sang this nazm better than any I heard before. I am hooked to this since yesterday, it plays in loop. Listen to this to believe...
