People look at them and still “DON’T SEE (the truth), that all these fancy dressing is for earning ones bread) Irrationality works wonders with human minds. In the first place it is more dramatic and colorful and hence more entertaining than the dull and bland rationality which is quite obvious. There is no X factor in rationality, and if any, the first attempt is to solve for X as we have done time after time in algebra. It is also the fascination for magic or miracles or shortcuts to problem solving that attracts people to such phenomena as right from childhood, we have this thing for magic. Many a time it is to cover the current distress or hopelessness in life where this comes like a nice escape like grass, heroine or cocaine and soon becomes addictive. I remember as a child listening to a rational person telling a story of how some people in a village started to worship a mango tree that had a bunch of coconuts on top of it thinking it is a miraculous tree, until the neighborhood person came to collect that coconut bunch that had accidentally fallen on this tree while he was plucking them and he told those worshiping crowds that - The true miracle is not coconuts appearing in mango tree, but mangoes appearing in mango tree and go plant a few and watch the miracle unfold! I have no issues with people depending on a moral or faith support in order to tide over a crisis as sometimes a more powerful individual, be it a teacher, mentor or guide can help us in reassuring and showing us the right path in the middle of turmoil. When that support becomes superstition and complete surrender of intellect it is a different proposition and sinuous serpents can exploit such abdication of independent and rational thinking. I have at times reprehended/ridiculed religion yet always jibe that the way people want to go about it is their personal take. Howbeit I always find god men/CON MEN of any kind extremely abominable and repulsive withal being acutely venomous. If indeed we are god’s own children (I am pretty sure the entire credit goes to my folks!!), then there is a bit of god in me and hence I am somewhat a god myself (yes this Yahweh/Divo/Holy spirit is taking a bow) and thence need to merely keep doing what I do, the best I can. I am not cocky, more of a bohemian. THERE IS NO MORE DIVINITY IN ANYONE ELSE THAN WHAT EACH ONE OF US HAVE.
