Thats a lame, convenient excuse for industry folks and those who enjoy the temporary power/ego trip of musician on musician crime. They love to make one out as the bad guy or black sheep for even asking about being paid. Later for the unnecessary guilt trips. The moment one enters the workforce, business should flow like a well oiled machine. Its not cool to wait on payment for rendered services. Loss over profit is hazardous to a spouse/significant other, household, and children. We musicians put in years of sweat equity into learning this craft.
