Je sollicite votre appuis en tant que conseiller municipal, siège # 1, aux élections municipales du 3 novembre 2013. Je suis natif et résident de Lac Ste-Marie depuis maintenant 42 ans. Je représente les contribuables en tant que commissaire scolaire depuis plus de 10 ans, durant lesquels mon énergie a toujours priorisé la réussite éducative de nos enfants. De ce fait, je dénonce fortement les coupures imposées par le Ministère de L’Éducation, Sport et Loisirs, ce qui a forcé les hausses de taxes scolaires. J’ai siégé en tant que conseiller municipal de 2005 à 2009, mandat durant lequel nous avons procédé à plusieurs projets d’envergures tout en maintenant la municipalité en bonne santé financière. Nous avons octroyé des contrats et créé des emplois qui ont permis à des familles locales de travailler et demeurer chez nous. Je crois au développement socio-économique durable, à la diversification économique, au maintien et à la création d’emplois dans notre communauté et à la possibilité que Lac Ste-Marie récupère son statut de destination familiale par excellence dans notre belle région de la Vallée de la Gatineau. Nous devons assurer le bien-être de tous; en passant de l’éducation de nos enfants, à l’augmentation de la qualité du niveau de vie de nos ainés tout en assurant la protection médicale, policière et incendie sur tout le territoire. Nous devons assurer le maintien et l’amélioration de nos infrastructures déjà existantes tout en gardant le cap sur les besoins réels de notre communauté. J’aimerais profiter de cet instant pour souhaiter bon succès aux candidates et candidats aux élections municipales 2013 et j’invite toute la population à venir exercer leur droit de vote en grand nombre! I am a native and resident of Lac Ste-Marie for the past 42 years. I have been representing the taxpayers as a school trustee for over 10 years, during which my energy has always prioritized the educational success of our children, therefore I strongly denounce the cuts imposed by the Ministry of Education, Sport and Leisure, forcing increases in school taxes. I served as a councillor from 2005 to 2009, during which term we conducted several large-scale projects while maintaining the municipality financially healthy. We have awarded contracts and created jobs that allowed local families to work and live with us. I believe in the socio-economic development, economic diversification, maintaining and creating jobs in our community and to the possibility that Lac Ste-Marie gets her ``Family Destination by Excellence`` status in our beautiful region of the Gatineau Valley. We must ensure the well-being of all through the education of our children, increase the quality of living of our elders while ensuring health, police and fire protection throughout the municipality. We must maintain and improve our existing infrastructure while keeping the focus on the real needs of our community. I would like to take this moment to wish great success to candidates in municipal elections in 2013, and I invite everyone to come and exercise their right to vote in large numbers!
