JeA to go with separatists’ poll boycott callKashmir November 15, 2014Kousar MohiuddinSrinagar, Nov 14: Socio-religiousorganisation Jamiat-e-Ahl-e-Hadith (JeA) Jammu and Kashmir has extended its full support to poll boycott call of separatists and said none of its member will vote in upcoming state assembly elections. This was revealed by president of the organisation Ghulam Muhammad Bhat during his Friday sermon at JeA Jamia Masjid Batamaloo in Srinagar. He said that they will not give a separate call on elections and whatever decision resistance leadership will take for the sake of freedom struggle it will be followed strictly. He said that some of thegroups are expecting that JeA will come up with its own agenda on polls but it willnot do so and follow boycott call already given by resistance leadership in this case.“Some people think that we have our separate policy on elections. I will like to clear them that it is not so. We have not our separate agenda regarding the freedom struggle of Kashmir. Ours is a pure socio religious organisation and politics is not our motto. This Job has been assigned to resistance leadership and whatever decision comes from there we will follow it. Tomorrow if the leadership will change the decision, we will still obey it,” he said.He said that organization has never supported elections in Jammu and Kashmir, before insurgency or after this period and will continue to do so till the Kashmir issue is not solved permanently once for all.“We have made already made our position clear on Jammu and Kashmir being a disputed territory. Elections cannot resolve the Kashmir dispute and hence election is a futile exercise,” he added. He said that New Delhi has been committing atrocities on innocent civilians in Kashmir from 1947 and JeA will not remain silent on the human right violations and will continue to raise voice against it.“Be it Machil fake encounter or 2010 killings of youth, New Delhi has been trying to strengthen its rule in Kashmir in many ways. We condemn every atrocity which has been committed on people living here,” he said.Pertinently separatists have asked people to boycott upcoming assembly election. Elections will begin on November 25 and the results are scheduled to come on December 23-Newspaper Precious Kashmir
