Told me that there were probably mornings where he washed his hair five times). Let his wife manage all the family money and buy tons of animals to keep her company (besides the family), and was so worried about money she let him work whenever he wanted to make more. Came from poverty and was, driven by the demon of money. Had kids who thought it was normal since that was just their dad and didnt expect him at ball games, plays, dinner, etc. Succeeded. My dad was VP of hardware at Verizon (nee General Telephone) and then started 27 telecom companies: 9 went bankrupt, 15 were profitable and 3 went IPO. No friends: he told me he had no friends outside of his brothers No exercise: one summer we played racquetball together from 5-6AM each day, but I couldnt keep up with that schedule. Although overweight, he died of a brain tumor at 53 years of age. Not sure if the work hours caused it.
