Innkeepers, Ben & Kristy Wallace, and the staff of the Inn and Café are as much a part of the community as you and, be assured, they do not agree with your opinion in this post. Over the last seven years we have listened and responded to your frequent visceral critiques of how we operate our business. We have always communicated with you professionally, even when your comments became personal, attempting to provide you an understanding of the reasoning behind our business decisions. How you can honestly attempt to characterize us as being defensive or unwilling to change is beyond comprehension. Since arriving at the Inn & Café over ten years ago, hard work and a vision of what could be, have produced an evolution and improvement of the experience for local and visitor alike. The Inn today is a result of our vision and more importantly the feedback of the tens of thousands we have welcomed through our doors. With a true commitment to hospitality we respond daily to special and unique requests and when we make a mistake, we do everything we can to make it right for the guest. I can only assume you feel somehow slighted we choose not to accept your detailed recommendations for what you want the Inn to be. When we explain that we are unable to tailor the operation to your desire the negative posts and emails begin. You allude in your post to the removal of negative comments made on our Facebook page. The only comments we have removed are yours and while you are welcome to your opinions, we will no longer promote your personal attacks and obsessive interest in our business. I agree with you that potential visitors to Abiquiu should seek recommendations when visiting. There are many excellent businesses operating in the area, each integral to the unique and wonderful experience Abiquiu and the Rio Chama has to offer. The third party sites you mention offer a collection of subjective opinions and the sum will provide travelers a much better indication of what can be expected in Abiquiu rather than the opinion of one person such as yourself. It is unfortunate that it has come to this but your use of this community page to veil your personal opinion and agenda as that of an entire community makes any future relationship between you and the Abiquiu Inn impossible.
