Jeff Davis Schools were struck with tragedy this morning when William Courson, Bus Driver, had a stroke while driving his route. He was able to get the bus stopped and prevented an accident. The two young ladies on the bus at the time may have saved his life. The students, Kaylee (7th grade) and Madison (1st grade) Rainey quickly came to assist Mr. Courson and immediately went for help. Because of the actions of these two young ladies, Mr. Courson is still alive and fighting. Although his prognosis is unknown at this time, he is getting medical treatment after being air lifted to Augusta. Because Kaylee and Madison reacted so quickly, law enforcement and EMS arrived on the scene within minutes of this incident. Ladies, you are heroes and we are so proud of you! Please keep Mr.Courson in your prayers!
