Jeff Martin 10 mins · Nettleton, MS · . Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. (Psalm 25:5) Grab your calendar (or your phone) and flip through the next few months. Look at those events youve written in. Perhaps those dates include a wedding, anniversary, birthday, opening day, march madness, or Easter services. We mark upcoming events on our calendars because they are significant, and they are worth waiting for. But waiting can also have a negative feeling. Sources say that we spend three years of our life waiting. Either on elevators, traffic, in lines, the doctors office, or even on hold on the phone. Have you ever heard, Your estimated wait time is 15 minutes? Most of the time, I end these calls because its not worth the wait. Davids prayer in Psalm 25:5 can be echoed by each of us. Even the most mature believer needs to be taught by God. We need divine instruction, a teachable spirit, and guidance to follow the right path. And we can approach God with confidence that His guidance is constant and consistent. Waiting is worth it when we are certain we do not wait in vain. God Bless you and remember, it is on Gods time and we should not fear the wait!
