Jefferson Community College Watertown, New York EDUCATION COORDINATOR – VETERAN SERVICES Jefferson Community College, Watertown, New York, part of the State University of New York, (SUNY) system, seeks a full-time Education Coordinator for Veteran Services to begin in December 2014. The successful candidate will coordinate a comprehensive program of support services for the student military population at Jefferson. As the principle advocate for student veterans, military and dependents, this position will ensure the implementation and quality of policies, programs, activities and services designed to enhance their educational experiences. The Education Coordinator - Veteran Services also serves as the College’s liaison with outside agencies and offices, at the state and federal levels, whose work impacts the lives of veterans, military and their family members. Required: Bachelor’s degree and three years professional experience Preferred: A veteran of the United States Armed Forces; understanding of state and federal veteran’s benefits and programs; knowledge of community resources available to veterans and experience working with a diverse student population.
