Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriffs Office responded to a complaint and discovered a copper theft ring in action. Phillip Monroe Smith, 33 of 1810 2nd Avenue, Kinder was arrested for trespassing, theft, criminal damage to property. Smith also has outstanding warrants from Allen Parish and a hold by Probation and Parole. Joshlynn Marie Moore, 33, of 1011 Celeste Street, Lake Charles is charged with trespassing, theft, and criminal damage to property. Paul Lane Reeves, 33, of 1868 Hwy 110 East, Singer, La is also charged with trespassing, theft, and criminal damage to property. The arrests occurred when deputies discovered the subjects trespassing on property in Welsh and found them to be in possession of tools and copper wire removed from the area. All three subjects are being booked into the Parish jail. Additional arrests are expected. No bond has been set at this time.
