Jen Dinning - Valuing your opinion on such things, and generally curious along with Armany Thursday regarding the recent Hobby Lobby precedent... I was wondering if you could shed some light on this for us. That separation is what legal and business scholars call the corporate veil, and its fundamental to the entire operation. Now, thanks to the Hobby Lobby case, its in question. By letting Hobby Lobbys owners assert their personal religious rights over an entire corporation, the Supreme Court has poked a major hole in the veil. In other words, if a company is not truly separate from its owners, the owners could be made responsible for its debts and other burdens. Does this infact open the floodgates for litigation wherein owners and shareholders could be sued for the actions, debts, or negligence of the corporation ? If the veil is now open in one direction, does that imply its open in both ? Are the one percent now at potential risk of becoming zero percent as the other 99 percent sue their collective pants off ? Inquiring minds and alla that, thanks !
