Jenna had a great day yesterday! It was the first itme in 2 weeks that we saw her cute toes wiggle, and her beautiful blue eyes. She came off the vent, she is not on her paralytic medicine, she does not need her blood pressure medicine and she only needs her diaretic if she stops urinating. She is also eating and pooping, yippee!! To be excited about POOP, you know you are a Mom or Dad! We are very blessed that God continues to answer prayers. She fought the conventional vent all night last night- because she did not like it! Who would? Jenna still needs to stay calm, her lungs need to heal, and she needs to come off of the conventional vent. It will take time but GOD IS IN CONTROL! Last night-- she had to be placed on another sedative medicine, but, she is not paralyzed and her settings could not be decreased because she fought it -- one person in the PICU said, last night was a wash, --I said-- No, I live with God and no moment is a wash every moment and every day is intentionally planned for your life when you are a Christian. Then I had to walk away. I must continually remind myself to trust in the Lord because there are moments like that when I must not be discouraged. Jenna is loved and she will conquer this because she is a child of God and we are more than conquers in this world. FB Friends and Family: As you celebrate Christmas with your family, hug them, love them, forget about all of the little mistakes because we celebrate the biggest gift tomorrow- The gift of Jesus birth! He loved us so much he died for us and God permitted him. As I am a mother who has watched her daughter fight for her life-- I cannot imagine the pain and suffering that Jesus endured and God allowed because he loved us so much! During this time we want to do so much, give and provide, when in reality all we need and anyone needs is Love, Hope and Faith-- Love one another, Hope in the promises and miracles of God, and Faith in the one who provides it all! When you give these things out of your heart you cant give a bigger gift! Merry Christmas from the Johnsons and KEEP PRAYING for ALL things!
