Jennifer David- Bryan I am definitely overwhelmed right now. Started Nursing school four weeks ago, just about three weeks after my kids started back to school. My 12 yr old with PDD-NOS & ADHD has improved greatly thanks to adopting a dog and him cooperating taking his meds. His 16 yr old sister though who is on the spectrum, often drags her feet in the AM leading to her brother being late to school and he was just placed in In school suspension because of it. Not fair to him since he has made a huge effort this year. Someone suggested I take my daughters computer away. Last time I did that she got violent with me. Its frustrating when people assume these kids are normal and understand things like their kids, when they dont. Im at a loss as to what to do and I had an idea that the therapist shot down. People have no idea what its like to be emotionally exhausted and you learn to pick your battles instead of trying to fight every one of them.
