Jennifer asks Our son is now 11, we have been fighting for a diagnosis since the age of 4. He is BI, and the pediatricians, Chams are saying that they think he is ASD/LD. We have had one thing that has held us back on diagnosis and that is his junior school. Whenever anyone questions the school they just label him as having outbursts even though hes on an external exclusion in school. We went to an appointment yesterday with a physcatriatc nurse to be told, that its 3 people that need to give the final diagnosis. She told us that speech and Language have to part of the 3 in Liverpool / England. The thing is, we have never been informed of this and have attended Cafs for years! I really dont know were or who I turn to next. We are struggling because everybody that knows our son personally can whats wrong with him. Our next pediatric appointment is not for a couple of months and he will be starting mainstream ceniors in September this year and we are so worried. Any advice would be most grateful.
