Jennifer is at the Annual League of California Cities City Attorneys Conference keeping current on issues facing cities throughout the state. The diversity of municipal law issues is one of the things Jennifer enjoys most about her job. As municipal attorneys, Jennifer and her staff advise City Council and staff daily on matters of constitutional law, contract preparation, criminal prosecution, CEQA and land use regulations, construction law, labor and employment matters, bond and tax limitations, conflict of interest rules, the Public Records Act, the Ralph M. Brown Act, and the Political Reform Act. In addition to providing daily legal advice, Jennifer and her staff defend lawsuits filed against the City and employees in all City departments, including Police, Fire, Public Works, Community Services, and the Office of Business Development.
