Jenny update: I took a vacation today to primarily get some homework done. I have a 6 page paper and some assignments due by midnight Saturday. I have yet to get any of it done, but Im not complaining. I spent most of the day with my much improved sister! She has had a really good week so far and I think has turned the corner. After the persistence of my Nephew and Niece, they put her back on some of the medications she was used to, and her pain and anxiety is so much better than it was. She was more like her old self today than weve seen in quite awhile. Shes now allowed food and drinks, so she had a few Sprites and some soup while I was there. Shes put in an order for Cherry Cider that we usually get from an orchard up by Windfall every year, which Ill try to get Sunday. She sat in a chair for several hours today as well. They downsized her trach and are talking about removing it completely in a few days. Shes crying much less and laughing much more. They will be increasing her physical therapy to get her walking and mobile soon. Shes amazingly strong for someone who wasnt able to move for over month! Weve shared with her how many people have been praying for her and have asked about her. She wanted me to pass along how grateful she is and thanks you all so much for every prayer, thought and act of kindness you have shown her and all of us during her illness. We appreciate your care and concern more than words could ever express. Continued prayers are always appreciated and thank you again for all your support.
