Jeremiah 32:37-41 Jeremiah Buys a Field Jeremiah 32:37-41 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries where I have driven them in My anger, in My fury, and in great wrath; I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely. They shall be My people, and I will be their God; then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me. Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.’ The Babylonians were now besieging the city. Zedekiah imprisoned Jeremiah...in the court of the prison for predicting success for the Babylonians. In verse 4, one of three prophecies that were uttered concerning Zedekiah. Here it says that he would see the king of Babylon...face to face. In Ezekiel 12:13 we read that Zedekiah would not see Babylon and he would die in Babylon. In obedience to the Lord, the prophet purchased his cousin Hanamels field...in Anathoth for seventeen shekels of silver. This was an assurance to the people that God would bring them back from Babylon. Both of the deeds were given to Baruch for safekeeping in an earthen vessel. As he watches the Babylonians besieging Jerusalem, Jeremiah wondered why God told him to buy the field in Anathoth. The Lords answer to Jeremiah is classic: Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me. Although God will destroy Jerusalem because of the idolatry of the people, yet He will later gather His own and bless them greatly. Property will be brought and sold again, and thus the deed to the field of Anathoth will still be valid in a coming day. Lets close here in His promises, if we obey the Lord God Almighty and repent today, He will forgive us and heal us and we will be His children and He will be our Father, as He blesses us and we prosper under His everlasting covenant with Jesus, as He rejoices over us, as He plants us here today in Jesus precious name we pray (F.B.I.CHRIST) *+* (:)}
