Jeremiah 38:4-6, 8-10 Read the text in your Bible. [8-18-13] Jeremiah was blamed by the princes for demoralizing the soldier who had left the city for he is not interested with the welfare of the people. King Zedekiah believed that it should be the people to judge Jeremiah. So when Jeremiah was thrown into the cistern, Ebed-Melech, a court official told the king that what people did was wrong and its is the fault of the people. Jeremiah was then taken up again before he would die in the cistern. Ebed-Melech a righteous man who feared the Lord, convinced the king to rescue Jeremiah. The righteous Lord has his way for our salvations. He is full of compassion, mercy and forgiveness.egv
