Jeremy DeWitt is back with a vengeance. I havent seen this guy for a while as he has worked on job transitions and his personal life... but now he re-motivated and ready to get some videos posted on the newz feed! Well guess what Jeremy, heres your first video. In this workout, Jeremy was working chest and shoulders.. and thats ALOT of push. Here he is demonstrating a nasty little circuit: E-Z bar overhead presses: The placement of hands on the bar is important and really affects the amount of stress on the shoulder work He then shows the ideal form I try to implement on ALL overhead presses for shoulder development. He presses the bar against a surface and pushes it up and down. Why not on a smith machine or shoulder press machine made of pullys and cables? Because. He is still in control and a machine is NOT doing the work for him. The squat rack only perfects his form and gets the right burn from the press. Ive always instructed people to press the bar as if their palms were sliding against a wall or glass... up and down, not forward and back. Therefore the form is perfect, and the exercise actually becomes more isolated and harder. Its called innovation. Finding new twists for old tricks. His last exercise was bottom out pushups on handles. Simply put, his push was fried at this time, and it was taking all the push he could muster to get off the ground. He displayed a great drive today.
