Jeremy Peloquin and I attended the Pennridge school board meeting tonight. While I believe Poppy Yoder was a great man and did many thing for this area, his image is not the topic of discussion tonight. As an athletic trainer who has seen MANY high school football games and stadiums, ours has many issues, which are beyond the scope of what the district is able to realistically fix. I feel that the administration weighed the concerns appropriately and has made a recommendation in the best interest of the students, the community, and the tradition of this district. I cant wait to see how to board voted (I couldnt stay and listen to anymore people speak about the emotion with no actual discussion of the proposal). Feel free to criticize, I am simply sharing my opinions as a resident and athletic trainer who is considering the needs of both my children and their future use of the field and my athletes.
