Jess A Wilcox asked, Im a mommy to five, soon to be six, kids 7 years old and under. This will be our second official year homeschooling (not including kindergarten with my oldest, since that was very laid back with mostly play and occasional workbooks.) Now that Ill have a 2nd grader and 1st grader, Ive been thinking more about the extracurricular stuff: music, foreign languages, etc. How do you handle these things with your kiddos? Ive considered piano lessons, but schlepping everyone somewhere for a 30-minute class isnt ideal, and an in-home instructor could be pricey. And with foreign languages, is there a good program out there for kids? Ive heard of some using Rosetta Stone, but that seems more advanced? Im curious how others, especially those with larger families, handle the extras without breaking the bank.
