Jess Bradford now in remission had cervical cancer aged just 18 years old. Jess has very kindly shared her story with us below and you can read more on her Facebook page - https://m.facebook/profile.php?id=1497557637123806 My name is Jessica Bradford only aged 18 December 2013 I started to get symptoms of cervical cancer I went to the doctor they took some swabs for STI, which came back clear but I knew deep down in side that I had cancer. On the fith visit she give me a internal she knew that there was something wrong and sent me straight to colposcopy where they gave me a biopsy and in three days they told me that I had cancer. The first thing I said was that the injection was no good then I was 14 when I was given it in school. I cried my mother couldnt stop shaking it took two weeks before they knew how far it had spread after scan and explority confirmed that the cancer was in my glands which meant that I couldnt have children it took two weeks for them to freeze my eggs the same day I started my treatment five chemotherapy and 30 radiotherapy and three brachytherapys On the 9th October I was told that I was in remission and I have vowed to stop this happening to other girls and women by raising awareness all my love Jess ♡ Help us ensure everyone has a right to a smear test and isnt discriminated of because of age, by signing and sharing the petition - epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/71455 Please remember when you sign the petition, this will generate an email to the account you specified.
