Jess, Jess and Rick took their final ride through the city streets - TopicsExpress

Jess, Jess and Rick took their final ride through the city streets last night and are no longer operating the waterfront and city carriage tours, catering only for private functions from today. Sadly, this is what happens when a unique and exciting new tourism venture is backed 100% by council yet is not supported (and attacked by a small minded local who created nothing but hurdles for this service. We know the story, and its typical of the me me me attitude present in some). Having met carriage driver Rick personally many times, he was a true professional with the animals welfare foremost in his mind. Sad to see you leave our waterfront mate but well meet again some day... maybe you can get me to the hospital next time? :D (A bit of carriage related trivia you may not know... I was contacted by police recently after a complaint was lodged about myself riding in the carriage through the city. See what we mean about the me me me attitude now? Its out there! Learn to recognise it and help defeat it!) You wanna giddy up Geelong? Open your minds to begin with and let the the place giddy up, for the benefit of us all, not just yourself. Giddy up!
