Jesse Eugene Ayers Jesse Eugene Ayers, 19, of Cullman, passed away Oct. 6, 2013. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 5-9 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel. Burial will follow at Poplar Creek Cemetery. Pastor Jonathan Reid and Pastor Danny Yarbrough are officiating. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond Ayers, Gaither Ayers, James Cleveland Warren and Juanita Marsela Warren; and first cousin, Steven Wayne Mitchell Ayers. Survivors include his father, Scottie Ayers, of La Grange; mother, Kristy Warren (Greg), of Cullman; sister, Emily Warren, of Cullman; honorary sister, Chasady Brooke Vandiver, of Florence; grandparents, Nellie and Johnnie McClung, Judy Ayers, Judi Ayers, John and Barbara Campbell; aunts and uncles, Felicia Ayers Hutchins and Gene Craig, Tonya McDonald (Terry) and Misty Vandiver; and a host of loving family members. Pallbearers will be T.J. McDonald, Wade Ayers, Chase Ayers, Joseph Parker, Michael Horton, Jesse Self, Chris Jones and Joseph Carmona. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Ayers, Marshall Ayers, Jacob Parker, Tom Martin, James Campbell and Kenny Dees. Jesse was a junior at Cullman High School and a member of Sardis Baptist Church of Cullman, Ala. He served as a cadet of the JROTC program at school. Jesse was looking forward to joining the military when he graduated. He had a loving heart and always thought of people. Jesse was a VBS volunteer. He served as a missionary on many different mission trips. Jesse will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. You may sign our online guest book at colbertmemorial.
