Jessie writes: I visited the city a couple of weeks back and took a walk through Central Park. It was terribly hot. All the horses were out. I walked over to one stopped by the curb, waiting, and I pet his face and neck. He looked hopeless. His driver yelled over you know what that tattoo on his neck is?? Its his racing number. He was a race horse!!. I told him that I thought it was a shame, that he should be done working. I could do nothing but shake my head when he barked A shame?? He isnt dead yet!. Is that the plan? To work them until they fall over and die?? I was in disbelief. Everyone needs to go and see them and look into their eyes. I think once they see the despair there they will know it is all wrong.
