Jesus Frees You From Youthful Folly Luke 2:46, KJV {2:46} And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. Put the breaks on your life beloved, because if you are a young Christian, you can be confident today that in Christ you are free from youthful folly. Many folks might want to condemn, criticize and chastise you because you are young. It’s like there are whispering in your ears, you here it all the time, “These young people are so rebellious.” Beloved never accept those words. Today, accept the freeing words of Christ, “Let no man despise your youth; but be though an example, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12) Christ was twelve years old at this time, when He visited Jerusalem to attend the Passover festival with His parents. When they left He remained. The Scripture tells us, “They found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.” O how the Spirit honoured Jesus, “He sat in the midst of the doctors (teachers), both hearing (listening) to them and asking them questions.” Beloved, brilliant wisdom and sound intelligence God has already given unto you. Luke 2:40 assures you, “The Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.” The free grace that is supplied to you at each and every revelation of what Christ has redeem you from, has, continues to and will made you strong. Other youth without Christ might suffer the unwholesome faith of youthful follies; but you have being redeemed from it, through Christ life. Luke 2:47 furnishes this hope, “And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.” Like Christ your understanding of the grace of God will grow and grow with every increasing wisdom. People in your life will be astonished at your ability to listen, ask questions, understand the mysteries of God rich grace and answer the questions that baffle so many. Only believe, all things are possible to Him in whom you believe. Amen! Shalom!
