Jesus Is A Good Listener I got a hotel room from my job, last night. I had to share the room with someone I did not know. The room had two beds. He just opened up and spoke to me about the intimate details of his life, marriage, children for hours [I believe]. I just listened and did not say to much. He heard me praying with someone, in the bathroom. He asked me what my religion was. I told Him I follow Jesus. He asked What denomination? I said None. After I listened to him, he asked me about my faith, even though he was a Buddhist. I want to encourage souls to listen to broken hearts. A godly brother who passed away and Jesus showed me the power of saying nothing and letting souls pour their heart out. So many are burdened because they feel like no one listens. This is painful. So many feel alone and they feel like no one listens to their heart. It hurts when you feel like no one cares about your feelings. This man told me that he does not talk to people like this. I told him I prayed that the peace of God would be with me so people would open up. Jesus causes this to happen often. Many times, people are heavy emotionally and a listening ear can cause a soul to repent and give their life to Jesus. I remember having a pastor who would listen to me and not look at me funny for opening up. I always felt comfortable talking to him but now he is gone. Before many hear your preaching, they want to see your heart. Jesus listens. Jesus cares. Lean the ear of Jesus to the broken soul. Psalm 56:8-9 KJV Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? [9] When I cry unto thee , then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
