Jesus Still Heals The bible tells us, in many places, that Jesus healed people everywhere that He went. Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness. Matthew 9:35, Matthew 4:23 (NIV). Jesus came to bring salvation, healing, and total restoration to people plagued by satan and his devices. The thief (satan) comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 (NIV). Asking the Lord to heal us is our right as blood-washed children of God. But, He (Jesus) (Yeshua) was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him; and by His wounds, we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 (NIV). Anyone that believes that healing was just for Jesus time on earth has fallen into satans deception, who wants to ruin our lives and our futures; and thus, prevent us from doing all that God created us to do on this earth. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8 (NIV). Jesus has not changed. The only thing that changed was when men allowed satan to deceive them. Healing is just as much for us today as it was for those in Jesus time on earth. Jesus still heals; but, we have to have faith and ask for it. The same faith that we have to have to be born again (saved) will also bring Christs healing to our bodies, minds, and spirits. I (the author) was healed of type 4 Bubonic Polio when I was a child. Even as a child, I had great faith in God and His word. As I laid in the hospital for months paralyzed in my entire left side, my mother asked me: if I bring people from our church to lay hands on you and pray for you, do you think that Jesus would heal you? I told my mother: Yes. When the people came and prayed for me, the polio started right back out of me, beginning with my left foot, and right back up my left side to the top of my neck; and I was healed and made whole. The doctors were astounded and brought in big teams of surgeons to examine me. God is no respecter of persons, what He did for me, He will do for any child of God. Then, Peter began to speak: I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism; But, accepts from every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right. Acts 10:34-35 (NIV). Just as Jesus (Yeshua) healed people and drove out demons, He also gave His apostles power to do the same. They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them. Mark 6:13 (NIV). So, He (Jesus) traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons. Mark 1:39 (NIV). Jesus called His twelve disciples to Him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. Matthew 10:1, Mark 6:7, Luke 9:1-2 (NIV). In todays present world, Christ still heals. As Christians, we have Christ in us. To them, God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27 (NIV). Jesus is in us Christians. Healing is in Jesus. Ask for your healing! Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. James 5:14-15 (NIV). The word of God worked for me; and it will work for you, as well.
