Jesus Wept (1.27.15) todays meditation, same as yesterday: why me, dear God? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The above was this mornings poem, born of a comment Manny made. I realized that it needs a little more flesh on its skeleton. Christianity has taken a perfectly good example of a man for all seasons (so to speak) and manipulated and contrived, convoluted and dirtied the living water he walked upon. (As it were.) In so doing, most religious lose the sense of humanity he showed in order to portray him as the ONLY son of God. One whose *Father* subjected him to suffer torture and death for our *sins* (something that never happened until latter-day Saint, Saint Thomas Aquinas conceived according to his fantasies). Add to that Jesus miracles. I dont know maybe he did upset the physics apple cart as he upset the moneylenders, I wasnt there, but it surely does not serve Christianity to make him a God when, in essence, we are all Gods that create God in our image (imagination). What that has done over the centuries is cause murder and dogma, dogma and murder. Jesus humanity escaping everyone, especially most Christians who go to church for one hour every Sunday and then stone and drone, bomb and bullet to death the rest of the world for not believing in their particular faith hope and charity. Pity.
