Jesus commands us to have faith in God - which means the sacrifice of reason- and we r reminded that God will reward those who obey and punish those who disobey. We r also told that God is monitoring us at every moment, and that he has complete knowledge of our innermost thoughts and feelings. If this notion of an omnipresent peeping Tom does not create a high level of nervous tension and anxiety and guilt, nothing will. And what does such concept have to offer a confident, efficacious and happy man? In the vast majority of cases the answer will be : nothing - absolutely nothing.
