Jesus commissioned women to proclaim the resurrection (see Mathew - TopicsExpress

Jesus commissioned women to proclaim the resurrection (see Mathew 28:10). This was in a society where men looked down on women and where it was illegal for them to be witnesses in a court of law. Ladies, never let anyone look down on you or discourage you from obeying the Great Commission. You have been commissioned by Jesus Himself: “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). So follow the God-given example of the woman at the well. She didn’t let the fact that she was a woman stop her from proclaiming Christ to men: “The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, ‘Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?’ Then they went out of the city and came to Him” (John 4:28-29). It’s clear from scripture that in a short space of time she spoke to “many” who came to Christ because of her testimony: “And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, ‘He told me all that I ever did’” (John 4:39). May He use every one of us (irrespective of our gender) to reach many with the gospel, whether it is by proclaiming Christ one-to-one or to many, as did this one courageous woman. quote via Casie Kyle ♥
