Jesus dwells in unapproachable light. No man has seen or can see - TopicsExpress

Jesus dwells in unapproachable light. No man has seen or can see Jesus in this way. Man is mortal. Jesus is unique, the only begotten son, immortal. As long as man is in flesh, man cannot see Jesus dwelling in unapproachable light. When our bodies die and we returned to the Father then our spirits and souls will see Jesus. We will not be in flesh. But we will not yet be immortal until the last day when our bodies are resurrected. On that day the mortal puts on immortality and the perishable puts on imperishability. So we read in 1 Timothy 6:13 “I charge thee in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed the good confession; 14 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,15 which He will bring about at the proper time-- He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 6:16 who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power eternal. Amen.” In the resurrection Christians will be joined with Christ who is immortal, 1 John 3:1 “Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.3 And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” When Jesus appears we will see him as he is and be as he is. Everyone who has this hope purifies himself by the resurrection of Jesus Christ through His blood. What does this mean for the future? First of all the church is the body of Christ. The first gospel sermon was based upon the resurrection, which is the only gospel sermon that can be preached today was delivered in Acts two. In Acts two, the first 20 verses is basically showing that the New Testament was not written on stone or ink as the Old Testament was written. The new covenant was written on the hearts of the disciples through the gift of the Holy Spirit. The purpose of this gift was to guide the apostles and then Christians of the first century into all the truth so that within that generation the New Testament was made known to the world being confirmed by signs and wonders. Signs and wonders where to confirm the New Testament during the time it was being written on the hearts of the disciples. But once the New Testament was completed by the apostles and prophets of the New Testament then from that time until today we must study to show ourselves approved, rightly dividing the word of God. The New Testament teaches that when Jesus comes, those of God’s kingdom, the church, will be resurrected immortal and they will be caught up first. After that, all mankind be raised immortal. John 5:28 "Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, 29 and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment." No one can be caught up to heaven in flesh, if we died today before the last day we will go there in spirit, but not in the flesh. The point is, since Jesus dwells in unapproachable light then when the time comes that the body of Christ is caught up to be with Jesus then the church, which is the body of Christ must go up immortal. If it were true as some say that Jesus and the body of Christ will return back to the earth after a seven-year period then Jesus and those that have been caught up during the seven years earlier will be as Jesus Christ is. Jesus and those with him will be dwelling in unapproachable light. All those in the flesh will be struck blind as Paul was on the road to Damascus or the physical flesh of all the beings will cease to be in flesh. Since the righteous are glorious as Jesus is and immortal then they will be no longer be in the physical sense. The righteous would have no reason to escape from danger for they will be immortal. Those of the earth would be of no threat to those who would come back. If anyone builds a temple according to the Old Testament, if anyone tries to worship in the future or now with a physical temple and animal sacrifices according to the Old Testament law then they will have fallen from grace even before they were ever saved. Galatians 5:4 “You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.” Jesus said clearly that an hour is coming when all the dead both righteous and unrighteous will be resurrected which would mean all would be immortal, those destined to hell with have an immortal body but they would be in hell. Those destined for heaven with have also an immortal body, but they will be as Jesus is. 1 Corinthians 15:51 "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory." The New Testament is very clear about how to be saved, about how to worship. We will not be judged by the grace and worship that existed in the Old Testament looking to the coming of Jesus Christ. Finally since by the Holy Spirit, Peter preached the first gospel sermon in Acts two should we not try to understand what is written in Acts two and obey the commands of the Holy Spirit given in Acts two? What was spoken by Peter in Acts two and the other apostles had already been bound in heaven and what was loosed in heaven was also loosed on earth by the New Testament on that day, the day of the first gospel sermon, Acts two. love from don
