Jesus left us in charge of His business until he returns. God is the Owner. We are “middle management”. The Lord was clear: He expects us to treat people in a way fitting of the Owner’s vision. He expects faithfulness, loyalty, patience, persistence, and kindness. But we easily can lose faith and give up on the Owner’s return. We can begin to act like we are the owners and quit following God’s business plan. The manager who loses hope, quickly runs out of obedience and stops doing what the Owner called us to do. Don’t make that mistake. One day at a tie, no matter how long it takes, be faithful and persist in doing your job until the Owner returns. You’ll be glad you did. -- Friar Tuck’s Word of the Day
